Ten Pieces To Write About - videogame edition

Wooo hey, sorry about the lateness with this, I was having quite the weekend! This should serve as a lesson for myself to schedule posts more often. I'll post the flash fiction monday later in the day.

Roll a d10 (or generate a random number from 1 to 10). Compare it with the list below and listen to the piece. Preferably with big comfy headphones, and preferably with your eyes closed while doing nothing else, but maybe you're time-crunched. Write something based on the piece. (Some of these do have lyrics, by the way, so if you want to do something with that, be my guest.) Share it in the comments— or not, I’m not the boss of you.

January update - WIP check

I did say I'd try to post monthly, let's see if it sticks.  First of my big WIPs is a novel set in my werewolf-ridden medieval village setting, Abadosos . Not really a sequel to Silenci, but definitely set in the same place. I may have to retcon some background things but hey, what can ya do? Thematically speaking, this novel is kind of an opposite direction to Silenci, so it was a bit wild for me to come to terms with that, lol. Progress: drafting, 50k out of... 80k? I'm not good at estimating word counts, but at the pace I'm going, yeah, it's at least 80k. Some very rough character sketches. Next up is a TTRPG campaign setting I've been working on for a couple years now. It started as a little homebrew setting for a one-on-one campaign I'm running for my wife, but what was supposed to be a one-shot turned into a three-shot and then into a years-long campaign with too much worldbuilding for a single player to explore so... here we have my take on noir urban...

Hello again, world

I'm starting this blog again. Except now it's on Blogger? Yeah. I'll be porting some/most of my old content on here, but I'll be doing it manually, so it might take a while. I also can't promise consistency, because I tend to get in over my head and stick to a strict schedule for about a couple of months and then trail off. I guess I'll post whenever I have something to say, or whenever I find something cool to share. About once a month, probably. Writing prompts are always fun, though I almost never follow my own advice and end up writing something completely different, but I don't think anyone minds but me. Maybe some book/movie/graphic novel reviews if they occur to me, even if they end up being rants more often than not. Also, don't mind the tags in this post, I'm just creating them here so I have them in mind. This is where I'll scream into the void, basically. And give book updates, of course. Wish me luck!
