March update - The Arm Collector, Silenci 2nd edition, and swordfish
A detective stumbles into a reality-bending case in which she has more in common with the perpetrator than she thinks, and the sinister presence behind it all finds amusement in the things we do for love. The Arm Collector, my mystery/horror/urban fantasy short story, has been accepted for publication this spring in the Shadows & Signals anthology by Frivolous Comma! Make sure to check them out and follow me Bluesky, Patreon (free), or right here to receive a notification when it comes out.
I've been working on this short story since about... 2018? 2017? And it was getting nowhere so I shelved it for a hot second. It was actually the call for submissions for Shadows & Signals that reminded me that hey, I do have a spec mystery that needs polishing somewhere in there. I like to think that I know a little more now than I did when I first drafted it, so I wrote another draft and took a risk and it paid off! Needless to say, I am extremely excited to share this story with the world.

In other news, since I mentioned I was going to retcon some things in Silenci (minor things like dates, because even though it's technically historical fantasy, I certainly didn't give the historical aspect much care and it's giving me problems for its successor), I thought I'd put out a second edition. Maybe re-format it a little bit, add symbolic chapter illustrations, make things nice and all. Plus, since I was going to start using itch.io, I might as well make a little event out of it. I'll time it for the anniversary of the original release date in May, and make it PWYW for about a week. More news to come soon!
Finally, the origami model of the month. A relatively simple model but very fun to make and have - Swordfish by John Montroll.
